Holy Cross Hospital Mountain Point is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join its Laboratory Services team in Lehi, Utah, USA. Job Responsibilities
As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will perform a wide range of laboratory testing to support accurate diagnosis, treatment, and patient management. Key responsibilities include:
- Perform clinical laboratory testing according to established protocols and quality standards.
- Analyze, interpret, and accurately report laboratory test results.
- Ensure timely reporting of routine and critical laboratory findings.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
- Perform quality control (QC) procedures and document corrective actions when required.
- Apply critical thinking to evaluate laboratory data and ensure result accuracy.
- Maintain complete and accurate laboratory documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
- Comply with CLIA requirements and all laboratory regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Biological Science, Chemical Science, or a related discipline meeting CLIA requirements.
- Appropriate clinical laboratory training approved by the Laboratory Director.
Preferred
- MLS (ASCP) certification or an equivalent internationally recognized certification.
